Pamela and Stephen

Pam and Stephen had a wonderful little intimate wedding at St. Charles Country Club. The weather turned out to be fantastic as we headed around the city for photos. What a great way to enjoy one of the last days of summer. Pam mentioned to me that she had a simple styled dress,"nothing fancy" - hey, I loved it. There is nothing wrong with letting your natural beauty shine through. Simple design is often the best.

Guys, note the suits instead of tuxes. Again a great look and definitely worth checking out. (yes I wore a suit for my own wedding - felt so much better than a tux.)

End of Summer

This is always a sad day for me as I love summer. It's my favorite season; with the heat, beaches, camping, outdoor living - it's all great. Most weekends are spent shooting weddings so beach time is far and too few between for my liking - but my wife and I ate a lot of BBQ (my fave) and watermelon to make up for it.

The days are getting shorter, evening is falling faster and the leaves are changing. Good Bye summer, and happy equinox!

A few weeks ago I was seconded shooting a great Greek wedding with the talented Trevor Brucki. What a joy to shoot behind the scenes - get to push yourself into seeing things a little differently.
