Nicole + Josh {e}shoot

Josh, retro

I was inspired by Josh's shades so I thought we would go vintage and shoot some squares. Go for that old time look.

Love Nicole's eyes.

How about using the Holga

Wedding should be a lot of fun guys. Check out your online gallery - just click on your names to the right.

Tuesday

Kristin + Erick

I love it when I meet a couple like Kristin and Erick, they are so humble I would never know their accomplishments had I not been at their reception. I won't go into details, for it's a wonderfully long list. But I will say this: Erick serves as a Major with the Army's Dental Corps, he first served as a Naval Engineer, but returned to the US and is currently a surgical resident at the University of Texas in the Maxillofacial and Oral Surgery Program.

I am incredibly honored to meet him and I thank him for his commitment to our Army and country and for serving over seas. I only wish I had taken the time to hear the stories behind the 4 medals.

Kristin is an Assistant Professor of Political Science at Dalhousie University. I promised her I wouldn't go overboard, but I will mention her PhD research won some international awards and she is currently working on a book.

Okay on the the photos: Got to have the shoe shots!

We ended up at the Taven in the Park for the reception - always a wonderful location - great food! The music needs to me mentioned. I loved it, Kevin Aichele crooned the jazz standard's late into the night. Fantastic voice!

This was my kind of night.

Beautiful Dress - Maggie Sottero
Florist - Valley Flowers
Cake - High Tea Bakery

And a show of slides:

All the best to you guys! and thank you for your service to our country.

Happy Father's Day

A father carries pictures where his money used to be. ~Author Unknown

My brother and I hanging with our Dad.

My favorite "Space Cadet" PJ's and a book my Dad could not read on his own.

'74, our groovy flat.

Even now 17 years later, I still miss you. Thanks for being the best Dad I could wish for, you never quit.

Love always,

Friday

Meaghan + Brett

Well last Saturday was windy, but the weather turned out to be pretty nice! Meaghan and Brett were so much in love - it's great when you get a couple like that! It just shows in the photos.

Their ceremony and reception was at the Glendale Golf Course and Country Club. In between we headed out to Sargent Sundae - happens to be their first date. What a great way to celebrate!

I just love these two with the old vintage look...

Thank you Meaghan and Brett for letting me be a part of your day! I was blessed to see how close and loving your families are. Click on the play button below to see a show of slides.

Hope you are having a wonderful time in Europe,

Cheers!

Bo Diddly

Bo Diddley, the musical pioneer whose songs, such as "Who Do You Love?" and "Bo Diddley," melded rhythm and blues and rock 'n' roll through a distinctive thumping beat, has died. He was 79.

One cannot think of Bo Diddley without hearing his calling card: That primal, propulsive "Bo Diddley beat," one of the most easily identifiable -- and oft-imitated -- rhythms in rock-and-roll history.

Monday

Second Shooting in Gimli

Trevor invited me up to Gimli to shoot a wedding with him on the weekend. Despite the heavy rain, we had a great time.

The rain did stop later in the day and we could venture outside and actually use the wonderful locations that Gimli has to offer. I'm going to post just a few of my favorites, check out Trev's blog for the full slide show and story.

And now, some of my favorites. I got to experiment and play, so I tried shooting with movement and motion - shooting a 'looser' more artist feel.

Of course you got to have the shoe shot - even if they just walked into the church for the ceremony. Who ever you are stranger, nice shoes!

Saw it and just had to shoot it - love the colors.
